  1. Hello,
I work at Cabra Library and a couple of months ago we started a knitting club here in our activity room. Initial response was very positive and stayed that way for a few weeks. Then summer came and people obviously have more to do during the summer months, holidays, giving out about the weather etc. We hope to restart our knitting club in September and I’d appreciate it if you could advertise this on your website. So if you could post the blurb below we’d be really grateful.

    Thanks,
    Conor D’Arcy

  2. Hello!

My name is Isolde and I am a knitting novice and an MA Communications Design student at Central St Martins. As part of my MA I am planning a work shop involving knitting and am looking for some help/advice…My project is on changing forms of memorial and at the moment I am concentrating on how to instill modern forms of memorial, (the on-line website) with a craft element.

My plan is to hold a day (Nov the 1st would be ideal) on which like modern-day (but positive) Madame Defarges’, the names of individual that are placed on a certain website are knitted, thus instilling them with the care, that perhaps online memorial lacks. The finished piece would then become an installation. I would very much like to get your feed back. Whether this is possible, whether people would be interested in taking part?

I would of course be in need volunteers but not too many. on average 20 names are uploaded and the knitted pieces are quite small.

    Kind regards.

    Isolde
